The Bride Show: UAE’s Best Wedding and Lifestyle Event

This bridal fashion show is held once every year. This could be the best place for brides to plan ahead the dress of their dreams, especially if that particular dress is locally unavailable.

Different types of designers came from different parts of the world to showcase their beautiful designs in this event. Some of the dresses could be bought directly from their stand, while others need to be ordered. To order, you will have to sign a paper that mentions that you are placing an order voluntarily.

My Journey to The Bridal Fashion Show

It is only a 3-day show…

My journey from Dubai to Abu Dhabi was adventurous and unforgettable.  I had fun not only because of the bridal fashion show but also because of my bestie Muna. You know what? I was really glad that my best friend was with me. I really wanted her to come as I really want to look for my Dream Dress in the event. That’s why I was really sad when she nearly didn’t make it to the bridal fashion show. Nevertheless, she made it.

While I was driving to the event, we were in a hurry to reach as soon as possible. After all, we only had 3-4 hours! The drive to the bridal fashion show in Abu Dhabi from Dubai would take about an hour, depending on traffic.

After passing the exit to Blue Marlin Ibiza, we decided to take a cup of coffee from a petrol station. We got our coffees whilst exiting the petrol station. I was driving on the road, and those metal round botts which divide lanes screw my tire. I just felt like my tire blew-up! Nonetheless, I managed to stop carefully on the side of the road, out of the yellow line.

I thought I could fix the tire myself, because I did once a few years back with my other car. This time was different. I didn’t even know how to place the tool under the car so it could lift the body of the car, and then I could think of removing the tire. I got my hands dirty black and we were laughing and sweating under the heat of spring-summer in Dubai 2015. After a few minutes, I tried calling 999, and they gave me the road services number. Then, I called the road services, and they came to help in changing the tires. In a meantime, one Omani car also stopped to offer help. He also tried to loosen the bolt of the tire, which was so hard to loosen that even he couldn’t. So we only had an option of waiting for the Road Service Police’s help.

After half an hour, the Road Service Police Car arrived, and he had his special tools, too. Even he couldn’t loosen the bolt. Hence, we are left with two options:

1. Take it to the garage and get the tires changed there; or
2. Take it to the Lexus Service care where the official garage had that special tool that could loosen the bolt.

The reason why we needed the tool was because the bolt of tires of Lexus car can only be loosened up with special tools.

The challenge was the time. We didn’t have much of a time to go to garage and do it all, because then, we wouldn’t make it to the bridal fashion show event. It was the last day before the fashion show ends, so we really had to make it there. One Omani guy named Abdullah offered help to drop us to the bridal fashion show’s venue. He also offered to take the car to Garage, fix the tires, and pick us up, so that we could go back home.

Long story short, he saved us on this trip. Thanks to him, we were able to make it to the bridal fashion show in Abu Dhabi.

I fell in love with two-three dresses in her display. In fact, I couldn’t even walk away without buying two of them. Another young Romanian Fashion Designer Cati Dogaruhas really impressed me with her collection. The detailed hand-made dress full of glowing stones stitched with patterns is very neatly done. When she admits of spending 3-4 months stitching this dress, my mind was blown! I expect yours did, too.
