Here’s an excellent way to decrease puffiness. Place a teaspoon in iced water for just a few seconds. Make sure that it’s nice and cold. Close your eyes. Place inverted or front of the spoon over the entire closed eye-lid. Dip the spoon in cold water again and do the other eye. It also works if you press the back or rounded part of the spoon against the lower eye-lid.

Place a chilled tea bag over each eye. It does wonders reducing the size of blood vessels. If you are in a rush, get a very chilled washcloth and hold over your eyes to shrink swelling.

 

Aloe there:

Keep a tube of aloe vera stored in your freezer. When your eye needs some “R & R,” take the aloe out of the freezer and sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Squeeze out a few soothing drops into your fingers and pat some gently under your tired eyes. Another way with Aloe: Mix some fresh Aloe Vera with two chilled tablespoons of water. Place two cotton balls in the water. Remove excess water then place cotton balls on closed eyes for ten minutes.

 

Mini milk bath:

Pour just a bit of unsweetened Soymilk into a small bowl. Dip a cotton ball into the milk, squeeze out excess, and place over puffy eyes. An excellent natural remedy, Soymilk has anti-oxidants and no preservatives or harsh chemicals.

 

Roll your eyes:

Sold at cosmetic counters and drugstores, the eye-rollers – built like the old lip gloss rollers – are convenient. You can take them anywhere when your eyes need a little pick-me-up, morning, noon, or night. Garnier sells a very affordable roller in drugstores for less than $10.
